Community Activites

Breakfast Club – Breakfast club is 7:55-8.55 Monday to Friday. It is currently £2.00 per session and the children take part in a variety of activities such as Shake Up and Wake Up, games and ICT activities as well as receiving a healthy breakfast.

St Benedict’s Church - the children are encouraged to attend St Benedict’s church with their families for Mass on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Junior church is during Sunday Mass at 11.00am

Global Links

After the Tsunami hit Sri Lanka and the surrounding areas the staff and children of St Benedict’s raised money for two schools in Sri Lanka. The money was taken directly to the scene as a family in school had an aunty who worked there. We have recently re-established links with a school to see how the country is recovering from the tragedy and the children will be studying the country more closely during our Global Cohesion week next year.

New Community centre and sporting facility

St Benedict’s have been supporting St Peter’s parish in the development of their community centre adjacent to school which will be opening this summer. We look forward to using this new facility and sharing activities with our neighbouring school.

Premier Sports

We continue to use premier sports to provide after school activities throughout the year. The classes involved and courses run vary each term so make sure you watch out for the newsletters.
Other clubs such as Judo, Football and Dance clubs also run during different terms.

St Edmund Arrowsmith High School

The majority of our pupils transfer to St Edmund Arrowsmith High School when they leave us and we have good links with them especially through sporting occasions and subject liaisons. We take part in a Y6/7 transition unit for RE, the children take part in a Lets Sing Project at Robin Park with children from the other Feeder schools and we are currently involved in a design and technology project to make moving vehicles which will be entered into a competition.
