St Benedict's Big Lent Walk 2025

At St Benedict's, we are answering the call of Pope Francis within Laudato Si', to care for our common home and God's people in it. We will do this by taking part in CAFOD's Big Lent Walk.

Our Rationale

Like CAFOD, we also believe that 'a green and just world, free from poverty', is possible and every class is putting their faith into action this Lent by venturing out into the locality to complete their walk.

The money we raise by taking part in the Big Lent Walk will help to look after our global neighbours - they are God's people who are in need of our help. The donations received will enable CAFOD to continue to fight global poverty by working alongside expert local partners to bring real change to communities overseas.

For example, our donations could provide families with clean water, vegetables/produce to grow on their farms, fruit trees and more!
