“When you come to a town or village, go in and look for someone who is willing to welcome you, and stay with him until you leave that place."

(Matthew 10:11)

FOYER DISPLAY

Upon entering our school, visitors will be welcomed with a beautiful foyer display.

Each half term, a different class (or group of classes) decorate our school tree, table and walls in the entrance foyer to reflect a particular theme or topic. Some of these themes include:

  • Sharing
  • Never giving up
  • St George's Day
  • St Patrick's Day
  • Mary (Month of May)
  • The Christmas Story
  • Remembrance Day

On permanent display in our foyer is a glass bowl full of pebbles. All staff put pebbles or shells into a bowl to represent themselves. This bowl was also passed around each class so that every child could put theirs in too. Each pebble/shell is a different colour, size and shape. This represents the uniqueness of each and every person within our school. Whenever a new child or member of staff joins our school, they will be invited to add their pebble to the bowl to show how they have become part of the St Benedict's family.
