"I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me!"

(Matthew 25:40)

Cards in the Community

(Academic year 24-25)

Again this year, all children at St Benedict's designed a religious themed Christmas card.

These were made for members of our local community.

Children delivered these to Father Leo at St Benedict's Church so that we could share our joy and love with him this Christmas. We also left lots of cards from each class at Church so that members of our local Parish community could take one after Mass.

We also delivered them to residents at the two local care homes, which are next door to our school. Some residents came out to greet us and were very excited to see what we had brought them! They said that the cards and children's smiling faces had made them very happy.

We made these Christmas Cards as a school so that we could spread love, peace and joy within our local community at Christmas time.

The birth of Jesus is an incredibly special time in the Church's calendar. Jesus is the Light of the World and children at St Benedict's wanted to share this light with others who may not have received it. The members of our local community feel valued and loved, especially at Christmas.
